MullenLowe London Encourages Industry Authors with Fiction Prize

MullenLowe London recently sent 39 of the industry’s leading writers a book with a difference. The agency designed 39 bespoke covers to reflect an aspect of the work that each recipient was most famous for, leaving the inside completely blank, with the exception of the following question on the first page: “So, what’s your next chapter?”

This gift to the industry’s leading writers marks the opening of the IPA’s 2016 Winston Fletcher Fiction Prize. Now in its third year, the prize was created by a group of individuals from the advertising community in memory of one of advertising’s greats, the late Winston Fletcher (1937 – 2012), who was also a prolific author. The prize hopes to encourage industry folks to put pen to paper and to honor great writing in the advertising and marketing community. Many of the recipients of these individually tailored books have already pledged to submit an entry, following in the footsteps of famous industry folks-turned-writers, including Joseph Heller, Salmon Rushdie and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
