This episode of CI Conversations covers the key findings of The Polarization Index, a collaboration between PR firm Golin, USC Annenberg, and narrative intelligence company Zignal Labs. The study used real-time natural language processing capabilities to mathematically calculate the overall national degree of discord. It tracks political bias and examines where Americans stand on issues such as immigration, abortion, and racial equity.
Americans have long taken sides on a wide range of issues, but polarization is no longer just the result of disagreements, it’s the cause of them, with even the most benign topics becoming personally and politically charged and it’s imperative that companies address this in their communications strategies.
