LOLA MullenLowe and Magnum’s ‘Find Your Summer’ Campaign Boosts Winter Ice Cream Sales

Facing historically low ice cream sales during winter, Magnum partnered with LOLA MullenLowe to launch the “Find Your Summer” campaign, aimed at combating seasonality and boosting sales. Using real-time data on the sun’s position, Magnum and LOLA MullenLowe deployed digital billboards in sunlit locations, encouraging people to enjoy moments of winter sunshine with a Magnum ice cream.
To complement the digital out-of-home component, a black-and-white film directed by Juan Cabral of MJZ Films beautifully captured individuals savoring Magnum ice creams in fleeting moments of winter sunshine.
Additionally, the campaign featured geo-located push notifications that directed consumers to nearby stores offering discounts. This innovative approach led to Magnum’s best January sales ever, with a 66.3% increase in core range sales and a 38.9% uplift across all products.
