Interpublic recently hosted Kenji Yoshino, the Chief Justice Earl Warren Professor of Constitutional Law at NYU, to facilitate a fireside chat and two workshops for Interpublic employees in response to the U.S. repeal of Affirmative Action. This half-day program welcomed CEOs, HR and legal professionals, DEI leads and other employees from across the network.
Interpublic’s Global Chief Diversity and Social Impact Officer, Channing Martin, talked with Yoshino about the legal state of DEI programs, how companies can position DEI initiatives, and what employees can do moving forward.
“In light of the changing landscape, Interpublic remains dedicated to creating an inclusive culture that allows our employees to do their best work in supporting our clients in authentic storytelling,” says Channing Martin. “Programs like this one provide us with a clear strategy in how we create, facilitate and promote our DEI initiatives under the RISE framework.”
Yoshino also hosted a workshop for CEOs, “Leading with Allyship,” to discuss the DEI initiatives within their respective networks and agencies, as well as “Balancing & Mitigating Risk,” a workshop for Chief Human Resource Officers, Chief Diversity Officers and legal professionals across the Interpublic network.
