Initiative Celebrates Black Music Month

To celebrate Black Music Month, Initiative and IPG’s Black Employee Network (BEN) hosted Black Music and The Movement: Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going, sponsored by Pandora. The panel discussion was moderated by Nikki Buchanan from Pandora and included Shenequa Golding, Editor of Vibe Magazine, Dr. Glory Van Scott, Composer and Playwright as well as Entertainer, TAMISH, and BET’s Aulston Taylor and DeeDee Faison Moore. The event was held live at Initiative’s New York headquarters and streamed via Facebook Live. It covered topics including how Black music affects the community, its impact on culture and the role of social media. In addition to being a panel member, TAMISH also performed at the event.
