Initiative Tomorrow Addresses Internship Discrimination

Internship discrimination is a growing problem in the Netherlands, with many organizations reluctant to hire interns from diverse cultural backgrounds. To respond to this, Initiative Tomorrow in the Netherlands created an influencer campaign “I Want That Internship,” collaborating with the biggest Youtube influencers in the Netherlands, “Supergaande.”

In a three-episode web format, the campaign addressed the problem – and saw some results – during the campaign, the reports of internship discrimination cases rose significantly, showcasing an increase in awareness of the issue, and a willingness to discuss internship discrimination openly. The Dutch National Institute of Human Rights is handling these reports and working to address the issue.
