McCann Global Health Wins Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves

McCann Global Health has been selected by the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves (GACC). GACC is a public-private partnership hosted by the UN Foundation that aims to save lives, improve livelihoods, empower women, and protect the environment by creating a thriving global market for clean and efficient household cooking solutions. The agency has been tapped to lead a major behavior change communication intervention in two Nigerian states. The communications will aim to promote LPG-based clean cookstoves for safer and healthier cooking. LPG, or Liquefied Petroleum Gas, is a very clean and efficiently burning fuel that has lower greenhouse gas emissions than any other fossil fuel. It burns cleanly, heats up quickly, and does not release significant amounts of harmful smoke or fumes, which makes it an attractive fuel source for cooking, heating and transportation needs around the world.
