IPG's Internship program offers opportunities to gain practical business experience and exposure to the advertising and marketing industry either at our corporate offices or at one of our agencies.
Each year, to kick off IPG’s internship program, Frank Mergenthaler, Interpublic’s EVP and Chief Financial Officer, sponsors an Intern Welcome Event. Hundreds of interns gather in New York City for a day of presentations by IPG and its agencies. The event is also webcast to hundreds of additional interns around the country
In addition to presentations from many IPG agencies and IPG corporate, attendees participate in panel discussions focused on careers in our industry and beyond as well as training sessions designed for the event.
Additional interns in New York and across the country join in the conversation on Twitter by posting questions and comments using #IPGINTERN. The event also includes networking opportunities for the interns – they are able to meet with other interns as well as human resources staff from IPG agencies and IPG’s corporate office.
The IPG Intern program concludes with an “End of Summer Intern Event” which gives interns from across the company the opportunity to present about their summer experiences to senior management and to the HR community and to network with other employees and leadership throughout our organization.
In addition to presentations from IPG agencies, these events include panel discussions led by industry leaders and HR professionals.
