Plastic can take 500 years to biodegrade in the ocean, yet stories about washed up trash and plastic-polluted waters are increasingly common. This inspired BERLIN SCL, a part of McCann Worldgroup, to work with Fundación Meri, an NGO dedicated to the protection of marine biodiversity, to develop a partnership with Plastic Oceans International.

The organizations came together to develop a print campaign to generate awareness about plastic pollution on beaches. The campaign features images of discontinued brands and products along with the claim “Discontinued around the world, still available in the ocean.”
