MullenLowe LA and Acura develop “Chiaki’s Journey,” a four-part anime series to usher in the return of the brand’s Type S models. The series – which includes four one-minute episodes – chronicles the story of Chiaki, a Japanese-American girl who dreams of becoming the ultimate race car driver. With training from her uncle, Noboru, Chiaki masters both power and precision, solidifying her path to defeating her arch nemesis Erich Kang.
While showcasing the all-new lineup of Acura Type S vehicles, “Chiaki’s Journey” taps into a pocket of pop culture and builds a bridge to connect with younger audiences.
Following its debut at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, the campaign will extend to have a unique footprint at the Acura Long Beach Grand Prix.
