General Motors recognized Jack Morton, Commonwealth//McCann, and McCann Detroit as 2022 Suppliers of the Year at its 31st annual Supplier of the Year event in San Antonio, Texas last week. The award recognizes global suppliers that distinguish themselves by exceeding GM’s requirements to provide customers with innovative technologies and advanced solutions.
This is the sixth time Jack Morton has won this award, the fourth time Commonwealth//McCann has won, and the second time McCann Detroit has won.
“On behalf of the entire IPG/GM team, thank you to our wonderful clients and amazing team members around the world. We’re excited to be recognized for our creative excellence, dedication, and the business impact of our work. We’re deeply committed to helping transform, evolve, and grow GM and its brands, and these awards are an important validation of what we aim to do every day,” said Grant Theron, IPG’s Global Business Lead, GM and Global CEO of Commonwealth//McCann.
“We are thrilled to recognize these outstanding suppliers after yet another challenging year in the automotive industry,” said Jeff Morrison, GM vice president of Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “They overcame countless obstacles and exemplified what it means to be resilient, resourceful and determined. Beyond that, these suppliers demonstrated their commitment to sustainable innovation and to driving advanced solutions in collaboration with the GM team.”
Each year, GM’s Supplier of the Year recipients are selected by a global, cross-functional GM team for their performance in criteria that include Product Purchasing, Global Purchasing and Manufacturing Services, Customer Care and Aftersales and Logistics.
