IPG once again adopted the UN Global Compact’s Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a program guiding businesses to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community. The WEPs are comprised of seven actionable principles, and are the primary force pushing businesses to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals related to gender equality.

IPG first announced its adoption of the Empowerment Principles in March 2020, in tandem with “She Has A Point,” a campaign launched by IPG’s Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) that brought the WEPs to life.

IPG’s re-adoption of the Empowerment Principles comes, under the leadership of CEO Philippe Krakowsky, on the heels of IPG’s third consecutive year named to the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI), and the company’s 13th year on the HRC Corporate Equality Index, which recognizes the best places to work for LGBTQ+ talent.
