IPG Mediabrands Expands Support for Diverse-Owned Media

Following last spring’s Equity Upfront, IPG Mediabrands’ clients have tripled their spending with Black-owned media channels, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening visibility across media.
Since its inaugural event in 2021, Equity Upfront has made strides to rectify the long-existing gap in how the advertising industry engages with media businesses that speak to BIPOC audiences and further works to create opportunities for diverse-owned media partners.
With plans to host their second “Equity Upfront” in April, IPG Mediabrands and MAGNA have established efforts to expand the event to include Hispanic, Asian American Pacific Islander, and LGBTQIA+ media companies. The theme for this year’s event is “Invest for Impact” and will spotlight the impact of diverse audiences on media consumption.
