In time for the holiday season, Chevrolet and Commonwealth//McCann launch “A Holiday to Remember,” a sentimental story that centers on themes of loss, love and inspiration.
This year’s campaign features a woman grappling with early-stage Alzheimer’s. Guided by her granddaughter in a 1972 Chevy Suburban, the duo embarks on a nostalgic road trip through Holly, Michigan, visiting the grandmother’s childhood home, high school and a memorable drive-in movie theater. Accompanied by the classic John Denver’s “Sunshine On My Shoulders” track, the grandmother fleetingly rediscovers her cherished memories.
Created in partnership with Academy Award-winning director Tom Hopper, the campaign marks the third consecutive year Chevy has run a holiday ad that features one of its classic cars. Similar to “Mrs. Hayes” and “Holiday Ride,” “A Holiday to Remember” reminds people of Chevrolet’s reputation as a brand with heritage and history, as well as its longstanding connections to family and community.
