IPG Commerce Showcases Growth Opportunities for Consumer Brands in the Face of Disruption

19 Mar 2024

IPG Commerce releases a new report titled “From Disruption to Opportunity: New Pathways to Profitable Growth for Consumer Brands.” The report showcases three disruptive themes threatening to impact the business success of consumer brands and offers solutions as to how leaders can navigate the shifting landscape to gain competitive advantage and drive business growth.

Released to coincide with Shoptalk U.S., the most influential event in the commerce calendar, the report describes three themes that are disrupting the consumer brands industry: The Emergence of Invisible Commerce, The Cascading Costs of Convenience, and The Rising Power of Product Communities.

Commenting on the release of the report, Jeriad Zoghby, Chief Commerce Strategy Officer for IPG and a speaker at Shoptalk, said: “The narrative around the acceleration of digital commerce is no longer news, yet the broad-reaching, foundational impact of that acceleration poses a significant threat to brands, particularly those within the manufacturing and retail industries. Leaders that can navigate the disruptions by crafting an enterprise strategy to enable ongoing agility will have the ultimate competitive advantage.”

The report also features results from the 2024 IPG Commerce Consumer Research Study and a bonus section on Millennials, who have uniquely embraced the conveniences of digital commerce and provide a North Star for where brands should focus their short- and medium-term commerce investments.
