IPG Releases 2021 Workforce Data

IPG released its 2021 U.S. EEO1 (Equal Employment Opportunity) data as part of the company’s continued commitment to transparency around diversity, equity and inclusion. The data shows the percentage of executives across our company in the U.S. according to race and gender. The year over year (YOY) percentage change in representation across the company in 2021 is reported as follows:

  • Black or African American YOY representation at IPG increased 11.6% among senior/executive level managers, increased 14.3% among the first/mid-level managers and increased 22.2% among professional level employees.
  • Asian YOY representation increased 8.7% among senior/executive level managers, increased 6.9% among the first/mid-level managers and increased 7.8% among professional level employees.
  • White YOY representation decreased 2.4% among senior/executive level managers, decreased 2.8% among the first/mid-level managers and decreased 5.6% among professional level employees.
  • Hispanic or Latino YOY representation increased 4.7% among senior/executive level managers, increased 7.1% among the first/mid-level managers and increased 12.3% among professional level employees.
  • Female YOY representation across IPG increased 3.2% among senior/executive level managers, increased 1.1% among the first/mid-level managers and increased 1.8% among professional level employees.

IPG started disclosing the race and gender composition of its leadership in 2020, becoming the first advertising holding company to do so. View last year’s data here.
