Closing out Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, IPG’s Asian Heritage Group (AHG) hosted a hybrid professional development workshop facilitated by Be Your Own Cheerleader author Neelu Kaur. A follow up to the executive fireside chat with Helene Yan, Kaur’s workshop centered around the cultural nuances of collectivism vs. individualism in eastern vs. western cultures.
In applying these concepts to how they appear in the workplace, Kaur facilitated activities that helped participants take credit for their contributions to their respective teams, navigate being interrupted during meetings, and celebrate smaller professional wins.
